Ingredients

  • 1 package of Mrs. Bonser’s Original Flavored Egg Noodles
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese divided
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Bring 2-3 quarts of water to a boil (chicken broth can also be used), and add Mrs. Bonser’s Original Flavored Noodles.  Cook noodles 15-20 minutes.
  3. Drain noodles and pour into a greased medium sized casserole dish.
  4. Place the butter in a saucepan and heat until melted, then stir in flour.
  5. Add in a very, very small amount of milk.  Just enough to mix it in.  Keep adding a small bit of milk at a time, constantly stirring, until you have add all the milk  and the mixture is smooth.
  6. Add in 2 cups of the shredded cheese, stirring to melt it completely.
  7. Once the cheese has melted and the sauce has thickened, pour over the noodles in the casserole dish.  Top with the remaining cup of cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake covered in the oven for 20-25 minutes, then uncover and let the cheese melt and brown for another 10-15 minutes.  Serve and enjoy!
