Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 carrots peeled and diced
  • 2 stalks celery diced finely
  • 1 onion diced finely
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 3 cups chicken, shredded or cubed
  • 12 oz. package of Mrs. Bonser’s chicken Flavored Noodles

Directions

  1. In a pan, melt butter and add in flour, whisk together, stirring until smooth.  Set aside.
  2. In a large pot, sauté carrots, celery and onion in olive oil until tender.
  3. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil, add in noodles and boil until tender.  15-20 minutes.  Drain noodles.
  4. Add all remaining ingredients to the large pot, including flour mixture, except cooked noodles.
  5. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 20 minutes or until soup thickens and chicken is cooked thoroughly.
  6. Add in cooked noodles. Stir together all ingredients and enjoy!
